11 Jun 09 - When deciding which images to add to this collection, I'm most likely to approve formal architecture. There are many other groups, including my own Vanishing South, and Historic Barns of the South, which cover the more pedestrian forms of construction. Still, I will occasionally make exceptions for vernacular structures when they exemplify uniquely Southern characteristics.

About Architecture of the Old South

No barns. No kitsch. Nothing ultra modern. Simply beautiful Southern architecture.
