This group is dedicated to photos of Japan taken prior to the Olympic Games and including the Olympic Games. It will mean that a lot of the photos are black and white or sepia perhaps.
It will provide an insight into a Japan long gone now - a period before it burst onto the global scene as an economic powerhouse. It will provide a forum for members to share and remember the traditional Japan.
It will encourage members to share photos that can provide a digital patchwork of an era - probably 80 years in length of Japan as it was in the emerging modernization, wartime and post-war era.
