About Windmills: The old fashioned kind.I love windmills. This is about windmills, the kind i grew up with in the Midwest, see in the Southwest, the rickety, rattley things found in pastures, in farm yards. You know the kind. I like to look at pictures of them, but when I tried to find a bunch of them on flickr I found Dutch windmills and wind turbines. With a name like mine you must like Dutch windmills and I do, but I grew up with the others. As far as wind turbines go, they just are not windmills. So, therefore, this group. Just old fashioned American windmills that pumped water on the plains and other places in North American and probably other place as well. |
