26 Aug 07 - Given the number of photos which were taken in the 1980s and 1990s, and the significance of these decades, I think it may be a good idea to open the group to photos taken before 2000.

About Old Belfast and Northern Ireland - Photographs taken before 2000

Photographs taken BEFORE 2000 in Northern Ireland, which capture the history and how it has changed over the years (or not changed, as the case may be)

Photographs must have been taken in Northern Ireland before 2000 and show some element of the people or places at the time. Kids playing in the street, shots of 'The Troubles', rural life between the wars, that kind of thing. That lovely flower you shot in Botanic Gardens in 1973 isn't really what this group is about.

If possible please try to include information on the location and year, and some background to the photograph.

Photographs don't have to have been taken by you - scans from family albums are ideal!
