About Libraries of the World - OLA Super Conference Pool
Picturing the Global Library: A Call for Photos of Libraries Around the World
Calling all globetrotting OLA members! The Ontario Library Association Super Conference 2008 is looking at library experience around the world. Do you have pictures of photos of libraries you've snapped in your travels? We know you've got them hidden away on your hard drives and photo albums. Photos of any kinds of librarians in any location are good: modern, classic, grand, humble, old, new, familiar, exotic, famous, obscure...any are good!
Photos will be used in a gallery on the OLA Super Conference Web site, at plenary sessions throughout the conference and, most particularly, at the closing plenary on Saturday, Feb. 2nd during the luncheon in which incoming IFLA President Ellen Tise from South Africa will be speaking.
With each photo, please provide details about the location of the library, its name and a sentence or two about anything you want to point out about the library or the significance of the picture.
Photos should be your own original shots.
Note: Please designate submissions to this pool with a Creative Commons license so that we can use them during the Conference.
