I see lots of discussion about nattou on Asian food groups, but no nattou group itself. Therefore: a group just for nattou.

Nattou is fermented soybeans. Nattou is in a state of rottage when you pick it up from the store. Nattou smells like rotting food, because it is. Nattou is sticky, gross, and... and delicious.

Or not.
