About office 2.0 podcast jam
The Office 2.0 Podcast Jam is an experiment in expanding the reach of the conversation around Office 2.0, next-generation web technology applied to office software. The Podcast Jam will be held Monday, October 9th through Friday, October 13th in association with the Office 2.0 conference scheduled for October 11th and 12th in San Francisco.
The jam will bring together real-time conversation in a variety of ways, such as:
* Short podcasts published throughout the week from a diverse set of speakers
* A podcast jam chat room for anyone to join in the conversation
* Scheduled chat with guest hosts and Office 2.0 conference presenters
* A live feed of blog posts related to the event
The purpose of the jam is to bring together people who might not otherwise join in the conversation, because of time or geographical or financial constraints. Because the jam is all online and open to anyone who wants to participate, it brings together a different population than the in-person conference.
The podcast jam is not for profit. The podcast jam is for fun, for networking, for learning, and for marketing ideas, blogs, and speakers.
If you want to join us, there are many ways to do so:
* Contribute a podcast
* Help build the website
* Work on the planning committee
* Suggest a speaker/podcaster
* Promote it with a post on your blog
* Blog during the jam about Office 2.0
Post your photos of podcast jam in progress here! people involved, people making podcasts, people being at the 'real' conference and more.
