About "This ain't off-limits anymore . . . "
Night Photography of decommissioned, abandoned, and/or used lightly military bases of the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay area: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.
Starting with personal work by Tim Baskerville, and including images done on location, over the years, in the Bay Area at various events sponsored by The Nocturnes (Workshops, classes, AlumNights, Exhibits) - this group is where those images can find a home, 'cos "This ain't off-limits, anymore!"
NOTE that there is one exception - any former military base can be included - Army, Navy, Air Force, etc. (the Presidio, Fort Mason, Fort Barry and Fort Baker in the Marin Headlands, Alameda NAS, Hamilton Field) EXCEPT for the former Naval Shipyard on Mare Island. That is 'cos we have a separate group - "Mare Island Nocturnes" for those images, as we routinely hold events at MINSy, and are involved in the re-use of the former shipyard.
