About Oakland Nature Preserve's Living Organisms
This group was created with the intent to catalog (photograph) as many living organisms as possible within central Florida's Oakland Nature Preserve from the help of community photographers. The overall goal is to have an encyclopedia for the general public to use at will with an emphasis on education.
This group is open to everyone and I highly encourage you to use this group to your benefit and feel free to discuss anything you'd like.
When posting photos, please follow these guidelines:
Only post photos that were taken at Oakland Nature Preserve.
Please post your best photos only and no more than three photos per category. Example: You can post three photos of an alligator basking in the sun and three photos of an alligator eating.
Please try to include the scientific name if possible and a description of the subject in your photo. You can use Wikipedia and other public websites as long as you include that information in your description. Example: The following information comes from www.butterfliesandmoths.com
Please ad tags to your photos including color, type of organism (insect, bird, moss, plant, reptile, etc.), behavior, and anything else that may help a person search for specific photos.
Please use small files when uploading to the group, 1mb or smaller. We will be upgrading to a Pro account soon but until then, the group has a limited amount of space.
For your protection, ad a watermark to your photos before posting. This is optional
Above all else, please have fun with this and if you have any questions or suggestions, email me at: Rich@vividvisionz.com
Thank you,
Rich Guerriero
P.S. I am currently looking for a few people to help out with the Pro account fee of $24.95. The Pro account will allow us to upload an unlimited amount of photos, something we definitely require. If you would like to contribute, anything, please email me at the email address mentioned above. Thank you again.
