About NYC PHOTO CLUB
About the NYC Photo Club at The Center:
The Photo Club at New York city's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center offers a supportive environment for photographers at all levels to share their work, learn from others and gain the inspiration and skills necessary to improve their artistic expression.
The Club meets at the LGBT Center at 208 West 13th Street (between 7th and 8th) on the third Thursday of every month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Activities at monthly meetings include presentations by guest speakers, technical and artistic discussions, sharing and critique of portfolios and individual images, and announcements of shows, classes and events of interest to NYC-based photographers. Activities outside of the regular Club meetings have included member-led gallery visits, workshops and one-on-one mentoring.
This summer, the Club is proud to present a show of members' work. Titled "As We See It," the show features images by more than 25 photographers.
