Old mine sites are great for adventure and new mines for jobs, but the amount of pollution caused by this industry is disgusting, and the government takes forever getting around to the clean-up of closed and abandoned sites.
I encourage you to discuss the environmental damage of this industry and its residual impact after the mines shut down.
