About D.A.R. Markers
We have DAR markers from the following states:
California, Connecticut , Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington.
This is the gathering place of all of those historical markers that have been placed by chapters of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) during the past 100 years and more. Please tag each photograph with the name of the DAR chapter that placed the marker, followed by the abbreviation "dar". For example, the tag for my DAR chapter, "Nelly Custis Chapter", will be "nellycustisdar" . Thank you.
In addition to the DAR chapter tag, it would be helpful to tag by states. Therefore, each picture of a marker would tag the state using the two letter abbreviation thus: "vadarmarker" for a marker from a chapter in Virginia.
This pool is open to ALL flickr photographers. It is not affiliated with the National Society of D.A.R. It exists on flickr.com solely for the purpose of pooling such photographs for the erudition of everyone.
Photographs of markers placed by the National Society D.A.R. instead of individual chapters, may be added also, and an appropriate tag would be "nsdarmarker" or "nsdar marker".
