Thanks for stopping in here at NRDC's Flickr group! This is an experiment, and we hope you'll be patient with us as we figure out how to be good Flickr citizens. What we figure is that NRDC's people will start posting pix of what they're doing out in the world, working on solving environmental problems. We hope it gets interesting!

ABOUT NRDC
The Natural Resources Defense Council is a national, nonprofit organization of scientists, lawyers and environmental specialists and 1.2 million members and online activists dedicated to protecting public health and the environment.

Founded in 1970, NRDC has tackled the most serious environmental threats of the past four decades -- acid rain, dying rivers, overlogged forests, ozone depletion -- and emerged with innovative, enforceable solutions that continue to protect both nature and human society. The NRDC Action Fund is spearheading the fight for America's environment on Capitol Hill. We are organized under Section 501(c)(4) of the tax code, which permits us to devote 100 percent of our resources to lobbying Congress and mobilizing the public. The Bush White House and its allies in Congress have launched the most sweeping attack on environmental laws in modern American history.
