About No tripod - Now what?

What's this all about?

It happens, you're out somewhere, it's dark and you see the perfect long exposure shot.. You then realize you didn't brought your tripod along, or even worse, you still have to buy one! No fear, suddenly the best and most creative positions will cross your mind. You'll then see hundreds of tripods around you, just standing there! Bricks, poles, fences, trashcans, your bike or even your (patient) boy/girlfriends bodyparts, you name it!

You almost never know if it's is gonna work, or how the picture will turn out. Sometimes the result is that good you'll even think about bringing your tripod along the next time..

To cut things short; This is a group to post those (steady) long exposure shots without a 'real' tripod, you do need some kind of a replacement!.

Example;
Is there a train coming?

Please share with us what your replacement tripod was.

Some typical rules/gidelines:
- Please no serial posting. A max of 3 on one day should be enough.
- No shots from out of the hand! Only on alternative tripods..
- The shots won't have to be night shots. Most likely they will be, but long exposure shots with daylight are just fine.
