06 Dec 09 - NOTE: Okay folks, at some point I was made an administrator, and the original group creator stopped being an administrator... I just today (Dec 6th 2009) became aware of this, and there is a big backlog of pending members. So look to see some mild changes and some additional members in the coming days as I go through the pending member list and generally get my bearings on things.

About Photos That Don't Suck

Tired of sucky photos? Tired of being stuck between sucky photos in various groups? We can help.

This invite-only group is intended to show off some of Flickr's "better" photos and those who are more serious about the presentation of their digital masterpieces.

We don't give awards, we don't require commenting. We don't have annoying comment bling. We just have a nice pool of pleasant images to enjoy. Simple, eh?

This pool was created to display top quality images created by intermediate or advanced amateurs and even some professionals (should they wish to join.)

This group is more for the photographer wishing to show off his work yet not wanting to get lost in the pools containing either too many beginner or 'for fun/snapshot' photos and the more advanced or 'professional' photos.

Whether a beginner or advanced, we've all made photos that suck at some point, and thats normal. For this group we are looking for members whose photos consistently do NOT suck... only occasional suckiness is allowed! *grin*

THESE ARE THE RULES
1: No Dumping, just upload photos you think represent your best work, if you have a dozen images of similar subject matter, give us just a couple of the best of them. Less is more, be your own editor.
2: It would be nice to have permissions set to "view large sizes" so your work can be fully appreciated.
3: No cameraphone pics, no complete digital art (images must contain photographic material.)
4: Please name/title your photos.
5: Photos must NOT be named something like "CRW_7051 copy 2" etc! Those will be deleted.
6: Rules may be added at Admins' discretion.

Question: How do you join this group?
Answer: Members must be invited by a current member. A member may ONLY invite another Flickr user if he/she has material that meets the criteria in the rules above and in the answer to the question below.

Question: How do you know if your photos are good enough?
Answer: Do they look like the images already in the pool, or better?

Now, let's have some fun! Spectators are welcome, but please remember the rules before posting.
