About Northern Indiana Photography Club

The goal: To create a group of people that come together and exchange photography services in return for modeling, makeup, and styling services, and through this expand their networks and portfolios.

Northern Middle Indiana is a lonely place to be if you’re a photographer, model, makeup artist, or fashion designer. We’re surrounded by awesome fashion groups that are just about several miles past what one can afford to routinely drive to. I freely admit to stealing this idea from the Chicago group which I’m a member of but can never attend because of the three hour trip to the meetups. So, this is a group for everyone between Chicago and Muncie who is interested in photography, modeling, makeup, and fashion designers. If you live in Goshen, Syracuse, Milford, North Webster, Ligonier, Warsaw, Fort Wayne, ect., this group is for you.

This is a group to incorporate every photographer, model, makeup artist, hair stylist, and fashion designer together in one big smorgasbord of visual talent! If we all work together, we can help develop our individual portfolios, enlarge our networks, and schmooze with other people in the visual industry.

Photographers, models, makeup artists, fashion designers, stylists, and anyone else with a passion for anything involving the art behind creating photography are all welcome, be you a professional or someone who is just beginning in your field.

PHOTOGRAPHERS: Network and meet others in the industry. Build your portfolio, share tricks and learn new ones. Be able to talk ‘photography’ with people who will understand what you’re talking about.

MODELS: Meet and work with photographers, makeup artists and fashion designers on a professional photography shoot each month! Build your modeling portfolio without hiring expensive photographers. Learn about the industry and see if this is the career for you.

MAKEUP AND HAIR: Get a chance to use your talent and build your portfolio. Experiment with new techniques, learn new tricks from others, meet and work with models and photographers in the industry.

FASHION DESIGNERS: Here you have your models, hair and makeup, and photographers to help your garments become fashion. Have a chance to build your book and market your work.

The photographers, models, hair stylists, makeup artists and wardrobe designers are all being provided by others in the group, and in exchange for their work, we ask photographers to give prints or digital files of photos to those involved in making these events possible.
We all want to help each other succeed and get ahead, and in order to keep these events cheap or free, I would like us all to work in harmony. No equipment will be provided for anyone; we are what makes this group, so please come prepared.
