24 Feb 11 - End of Week 1 - Thanks to everyone who has joined the group. Didn't expect a huge number of entries in the first week, so four is brilliant from four members.

Please pass the group on to anyone else you know who might be interested. We're really trying to build a collection of the best images of Port Meadow, Wolvercote Common, Goose Green, etc, so anyone with shots of these places is more than welcome.

About Northern Gateway Photographic Competition

The Northern Gateway is a proposed development on Greenfield land in North Oxford, between Wolvercote and Pear Tree. This competition aims to showcase the area covered by, and surrounding, the proposed development, highlighting the beauty of one of Oxford’s most unique habitats.

For details of the proposed development, visit www.engage-oxford.org.uk/.

To enter the Northern Gateway Photographic Competition, submit your photos (maximum of two per entrant) to the group by the closing date (TBC). We encourage anyone to join this group, regardless of age and ability, and there is no restriction on the date at which the photos were taken.

The specifics of the competition have yet to be finalized, but we are hoping to run a competition with a prize, and hold a public display of the short-listed pictures. Please join the group, add your photos, and look out for further announcements about the competition.

As with all photos posted to Flickr, the photographer retains the copyright to the photos; however, Engage Oxford may wish to reproduce the photos for non-commercial use (i.e. press-coverage of the event). We will always attempt to contact photographers before using their photos.

The Northern Gateway Photographic Competition is run by Engage Oxford: a group whose aim is to improve the local environment for people living in, or using, the northern edge of Oxford City.
