About North Atlantic Community Photographs of oceanic and coastal islands of the North Atlantic Ocean. Bermuda, Iceland, the Faroes, the Madeiras, the Azores, Isle of Aran, Skye, the Shetlands, Sable Island, Cape Breton, Newfoundland, and any others, but excluding the islands of the Caribbean as there are so many they have many Groups of their own. Photographs of mainland peninsular coastal villages and land/seascapes may be acceptable providing the ocean is visible and the locations are isolated and symbolic of the North Atlantic; to be judged on a case by case basis. Ideally, the ocean should be visible in your photographs, and they should have some artistic merit. Please tell us something about the islands in your photographs. Photographs should highlight land and seascapes, people, culture and architecture of North Atlantic communities. A different photograph from the pool will be selected at the beginning of each month to be the Group icon: by posting in this group members consent to the use of their posted photographs in this way.
