Noosa Biosphere

In September 2007, the former Noosa Shire was awarded Biosphere status by UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere International Coordinating Council. Noosa Biosphere Limited is the only officially recognised governance body for the Noosa Biosphere Reserve through a number of well-establish community based sectoral boards.
