About Celebrating the smoking ban - July 1st !

This group is not just about the ban, but also a celebration of tobacco.
Tobacco has been with us for over 400 years, and deserves to go out, not with a whimper, but in a puff of smoke.
I suspect that today's tobacco is vastly different to when it was first introduced. That the way it has evolved has more to do with manufacturing convenience than consumer benefits.

Just a thought, but could we in Britain have won two world wars without the morale boosting properties of tobacco (and America's help, of course!). How would the underfed and underpaid British Tommy have coped without his tabs? Thousands of miles from home, far from his loved-ones, decent beer, normality..........knowing that Britain was awash with GI dollars?
So, light up that last fag, and blow rings up into the passing clouds......................

And three cheers for the ban!
