This is one of the pictures that I like the most, taken in Hoboken, last February (my hands were frozen since I didn't have my gloves). Since I started in photography (Nov 07) I always wanted to go to Hoboken due the beautiful pictures that I've seen in Pat's photostream (pmarella).

I took this in Fort Hancock (Sandy Hook), January of 2008. I love the colors and the sort of eery silence of the houses that are now abandoned.

screw flickr interestingness.. here's one that doesn't have a pretty little thumbnail to catch everyones eye ;)
I think this is one of my favorite shots from the year. It just came out of a short time spent one afternoon in may - breaking the winter blues with some nice color and some active birds. I think ir has some good depth, color and i like the way it prints.

Hi, new to the group. =)
This is one of my favorites from this year, taken just a couple weeks ago in Ocean Grove/Asbury Park. It is a 3 exposure bracketed HDR (High Dynamic Range) photo. I have only done a handful of these so far, so I'm new to the process.

Happy New Year everyone!

Part of a series of photos showing the demolition of a 110 year old steam tug named Catawissa. South Amboy, Middlesex County. Although another photo in the series has more views I like this one the best.

Most popular image taken in NJ for 2008 by favs and interestingness.

He and his brothers got fat raiding my feeders all summer long and are still at it in spite of being run off by our Rat Terrier whenever he has the opportunity.

My most popular image of 2008 buy favs and interestingness, 82 favs, 1449 views & 166 comments. This image also was used in the Star Ledger for many days as the advertisement photo for the NJ Great Destinations contest & is on the DVD that came with the book. Was also used in the advertising posters that were hung at the VIP Party. When this was taken I could not even bend or walk well because of my knee injury, it was a month before i had a second and major surgery, but neither surgery I had stopped me from taking pictures. I sat on the edge of the porch & flipped my screen up towards me to see what i was taking, the flowers were somewhat tall. So through it all this was truely one of my greatest of the year!!! :) Happy 2009 everyone!

I love this because I just bought my camera the day before and began my photography adventure by hiking out into the woods and trying to find stuff to shoot.

I had a good year - I tried some new things with photography, learned a bunch, and had a blast in the process. I wasn't sure what to say was my "best", but I'll post this one because it represents my learning this year.

I took it in Cape May this fall, using some new filters on my camera - and when I developed it, the whole ideas of using masks and layers in photoshop finally clicked. I was happy I could create the picture how I envisioned it at the time.

I was inspired by BLY2K's photos of dawn on the Jersey shore so I decided to get up early and trek out as well. This won a prize for and was included in the NJ Great Destinations book as well.

According to flickr, this is my most interesting/popular one.
But this one is my personal favorite, taken on a trail in the Ramapo Mountains during peak fall foliage. These bikers just came flying by and I only had seconds to compose and snap before the opportunity passed. I love it when spontaneity pays off :-) Happy 2009 everyone ;-)
