Except for your string blocks, Dena. Don't forget that is paper piecing ;) Oh, and spider blocks are easy peasy too! (http://quiltville.com/spiderweb.shtml)

BTW, sewmaketime, the instructions have you cut all the triangles first. No extra HSTs for me this time. Which is okay :)
Okay, ladies, I have all the packages stuffed, addressed and sealed. I will be mailing them out today. Just so you know, I cut all the fabric and sent you enough for one block.
Fabric A (background - white in the illustration at top of post)
(1) 7 1/4" square
(2) 3 7/8" squares
(1) 4 3/4" square
Fabric B (focus fabric - brown in the illustration at top of post)
(1) 7 1/4" square
(2) 3 7/8" squares
Fabric C (secondary fabric - light blue in the illustration at top of post)
(2) 3 7/8" square
Start with step 1 in the tutorial. You will still need to follow the instructions in step 1 regarding dividing up some of the squares into triangles.

Yeah, Heidi is right. I can do strings and spiders. It is the gnomes and funky stars that might have me driving to PA so Heidi can instruct me

I completed a block using the tutorial.

***TIP*** Do not cut the tails at the tips of the sewn together triangles. You will need them to align the triangles at the four corners in the last step :)

I got my fabric in the mail last night! Maybe I'll be working on the block today - we'll see how the day goes. I love the Bliss! I actually picked-up my first yardage of Bliss before Christmas but haven't decided what to do with it yet.

Ms. Kelly Kim! Thanks so much for the lovely block :) I must say, I wish the points on my practice block matched up as nicely as yours do on your block. I am jealous.
**Must remember to be more careful to match up points, everyone will be watching...*** ;)
