About "Nikon DX Challenge Group" [Dormant]

Here you'll find fun and educational photographic challenges directed to owners and users of Nikon DSLR Cameras with a DX format sensor. The CHALLENGING part is that most challenges are only open for 7-15 days and PHOTOS MUST BE TAKEN during the window of time that the challenge is open for submissions. Challenge themes are chosen by previous winners.

Originally started as the Nikon D40/x Challenge, the Nikon DX Challenge Group now combines multiple Nikon Challenge groups including:
Nikon D300/s/D3100/D5000/D7000 Challenge
Nikon D300 Challenge
Nikon D40/x/D60 Challenge Group
Nikon D90 / 5000 Challenge Group

Members looking for technical discussions, recommendations for equipment and camera settings, and so forth should check out one of the many Flickr camera groups focused on your specific camera. See links below to some we're aware of.

Challenge Rules
For each weekly challenge, members can post only one image taken with a Nikon DX format DSLR to the thread titled [OPEN FOR SUBMISSION]. The image has to be TAKEN and SUBMITTED during the period the challenge is open. Images taken prior than the challenge opening will be removed. The EXIF data for the photo must be able to be viewed by the public, this allows admins to check requirements as well as other users to learn more about how a photo was captured. Nikon DX Challenge Voting
After the posting deadline, you must give a star to three of the photos posted in that challenge's discussion thread [clarification: 1 or 2 votes is fine when participation is less than 6 entries]. Users who submitted an image are required to vote, but your Flickr friends may vote as well. To give a star, paste this HTML code into a comment on a photo:

After voting is closed, a winner will be announced, that user will have his or her photo displayed on the front page of the group for the week and they will pick the following weeks challenge theme.

Nikon DX Challenge Group Pool Rules - Updated Febrary 13, 2011
This group has a moderated pool. Criteria is simple: Only those images that are submitted to the challenges are allowed to be added to the pool, and those that are not will be deleted from the pool. Why allow three photos per week in the pool then?
