when you find yourself in the midle of the road in your pyjamas because"you couldn't risk missing that perfect light!"
when something goes wrong with someone's camera and everyone points at you to say "she'll fix it!"
when your partner knows not to try and surprise you with presens but takes you to the camera shop instead.
when you spend hours at night sat on a beach in stormy weather to try and get the perfect lightening. (still not there!)
when you are rubbish at DIY but think you too could attempt making a sound activated shutter.
when your kid buys sweets but can't eat them until you've photographed all these awesome colours.
When you're about to get married and regret that you won't be able to be in charge of all the major shots.
Worst thing is? I'm still a rubbish photographer! But I have fun doing it!

When it's a major anniversary, and you are taken to the jewellery store for a new diamond anniversary ring, and you smile and say "I'd really rather have a new lens for my camera!!"
(I love my lens)

... when you spend minutes to search the viewfinder in a point-and-shoot camera.
... when the point-and-shoot camera shakes in your hands because it is too light : )
... you can't list more reason why to be invisible, but to take picture of true candids
... (as others also said) you can list all cameras and lenses on your way to anywhere that just showed up even for a second in your 50m surrounding. (actually girls have the same with bags :D)

oh how I agree with so many of the comments above :)
here's another one...
....when you watch concerts on TV or even 'So you think you can dance' or 'american idol' and instead of the actual contestant and the performance all you can think of is the stage lights and angles and how cool will it be to shoot those live.
