Like Slightlynorth, I love the high ISO performance. In addition I am amazed at how many shots are spot on right out the camera without even tweaking the RAW. And in a range of light situations.

On-camera flash meant no P-P at all.
Most impressive often means most recent. I took this yesterday.

This one is probably my favorite. I love the colors from this camera.

But I really like this one too. This color came from a jpeg normal straight out of the camera.

One of my recent favorites. Too bad I accidentally deleted the image off of my computer. Tried to retrieve it, but it's not anywhere to be found anymore.
Completely blows away my old Olympus though. Amazing speed and detail, without any PP.

Ok, now that I actually have a D300, I can post my most impressive shot which, funnily enough, is my first ever serious shot taken with my D300. I wanted to try out the high ISO everyone raves about so that along with my 18-200VR I was able to get this:

Check the EXIF for the wow factor. :Maybe it's not that impressive to anyone else, but seeing as I'm coming from D100 land where ISOs stay below 640-800, this is impressive to me. :)

This shot/series shows the versatility of the D300. Low light, early morning, wrong lens quick opportunity:

Worth looking at the large/original if you have a wide screen and decent bandwidth. It was 35mb before resize ;-)
