About Mooi Nieuw-West

Licht en lucht, groen en ruimte. Dat waren de idealen van de founding fathers van de Westelijke tuinsteden. Nog steeds is Nieuw-west geliefd om het ruimtelijke, groene wonen. Het stadsdeel is nu afwisselend en contrastrijk, met enerzijds de ruimte, het water en het groen. En anderzijds drukbevolkte buurten met kinderrijke gezinnen. De vele nieuwbouw maakt dat in Nieuw-West opvallende moderne architectuur te vinden is.

Met de Sloterplas en het Nieuwe Meer heeft het stadsdeel mooie recreatiegebieden binnen de grenzen. De Tuinen van West, in het uiterste westen van het stadsdeel, wordt ontwikkeld tot een nieuw recreatiegebied.
