Many railroads have worked in New York over the years, including the Harlem Transfer, Bush Terminal Company, Jay Street Connecting Railroad, Brooklyn Eastern District Terminal, New York Dock and New York Cross Harbor, although nowaday only the New York New Jersey Rail floats cars across New York's waters
