YOUR HANDS ON NEW YORK DAY

Show Your Hands!

As a Hands On New York Day volunteer, you’ll see firsthand how much cleaner and greener New York City will be after April 25—and we want you to tell us your story.

Bring your cameras on Hands On New York Day, and show us the “Before” and “After” of your site. Upload your photos here and tag them with "New York Cares." We’ll feature a few of our favorites on Facebook and MySpace.

Tips for Great Photos

Get up close and personal—Show your teammates in action, planting, painting, cleaning. Let us see all the hard work that went in to making your site beautiful.
Capture the "Before" and "After"—Before the day starts, snap a couple shots of the site as it was before your team got to work.
Picture paints a thousand words—But a description on your photo tells us where you worked and who you are.
