About New England Street Photography

New England, one of the oldest settled areas in the United States, is a special place and New Englanders can be an especially cranky bunch so taking photographs of them can be an adventure. This group is dedicated to recording this adventure and the urban the street culture in New England.

Photos here try to convey a sense of place, capturing the spirit of the New England streets. We are NOT looking for an urban image (i.e. scenics, architecture, landscapes, or buildings). And we are especially NOT looking for photos of flowers, sunsets, still lifes, or your pets. What we want to see classic street photography, B&W or color images, with the presence of people in the street. Your photo should tell a story - a sense that there is something special about the moment, the place, and the people -- to put it simply someone must be in the photo doing something.
