About Newbury

A group for pictures from Newbury (Berkshire, UK), and its surrounding towns and villages.

Any pictures of buildings, landscapes, follies, or anything else unusual are welcome. Please don't use the group to post "holiday snaps" of people posing, or historical pics from the olden days - let's keep it modern people :-) Also, let's work on the principle that less is more, so avoid duplicates, or multiple posts of similar pictures (a maximum of 5 posts a day by any one member please). And please remember to tag your photos with the locations of the shot.

Most of all, let's have fun taking and sharing pictures.

For pictures of people out and about in newbury, please post to our sister group - www.flickr.com/groups/newburypeople/ . There are some posting rules over there too, but most photos will fit in one of the two groups.

Apologies to my friends in the US - this group doesn't cater for the Newbury over there :-)

To prevent any confusion as to what is "in and out" of the Newbury group, the map below was produced to assist all group members with that difficult decision. It's nothing too authoritarian, but something to cut down on the mails the mods receive asking about borders.

Any photographs taken at locations within the circle are fine for automatic inclusion into the group. Photos taken outside of the circle, but within the outer border will be allowed at the discretion of the moderators. And to prevent any confusion, any photos taken from further afield than the outer border do not quality for the group.
