yes !! mine has that split at the top tooooooo ???!!!????
however, my "split" is more like a dividing line... so maybe that will be a hint?
could we have different "feathering" stuff selected ?? in the "select polygon" tool, there IS an option for feathering.. mine was set to zero....?
help Katie !!

Denise and Eljoh1 I think that you guys may be deselecting and then reselecting the area. As you go through the process wait until the very last step to deselect. My feathering is set to zero and the fixed aspect ratio is 1 to 1.
These are great everyone Keep it up!

Buzz.. I tend to like the most colorful photos myself or ones with lots of texture. I am glad that everone is having fun with these.
~Denise I am not sure what you are doing that makes the line so pronounced. I will play with it some more to see if I can figure it out. Are you chosing a selection on the egde of the photo? That might be it. I wish I could get in PS and dig around however I am at work.
Mary Ann sometimes the stranger the better. have a go with Circles in PHP, works the same as PS and you get to choose the portion of the photo that you want to use.

~Katie yeah I wasn't pleased with the PSP circles although my son had a blast with it LOL he is home sick form school today. I am starting to wonder how sick he really is LOL
BuzzFisher i think yeah flowers or pictures with a lot of color most of mine don't work because it's weird to distort the faces of your children ROFL

~Katie I'll tell you exactly what my settings are.
feather is set at 1px
fixed aspect ratio 1 width and 1 height
I make my selection....
I go to filter > Distort > Polar coordinates
I click the bottom button Polar to Rectangular
Then I go to
Edit > Transform >Rotate 180
Then I go to Filter > Distort > Polar Coordinates
Check the top button Rectangular to Polar
Then Image > crop
waaa-laaa You get a circle with a slice taken out LOL
