About New York Photography

This is a group for New York photographers as well as New York photography, whether you are from Downtown, Midtown,Uptown, Westside, Eastside, or just in Tribeca, Chelsea or even Long Island or in the Bronx, and not necessarily just 'the city' but the whole state as well so that means 'Upstate' and 'Downstate' as well :)


Interestingly there is a lot of NY photos on flickr but almost no NY photography group. There are groups about NYC life,street and urban but not much about NY photography or for NY photographers. NYC is almost if not THE photo industry capital of the world.

We can discuss anything photo related here that pertains to the city and state like exhibits and trade shows or gallery openings.

Have a bagel or pretzel or even Cheetos! :)

Yes this is open to even those who are NOT from NY but have visited and taken pictures of New York or want to visit and 'make pictures' of New York.

When uploading photos to the Pool please tag and provide your image with a New York State place or NYC area references. Pictures that do not include NY state or NYC reference would most likely be denied in the pool because they could be 'isolated image' with no reference or relation to New York.
