The depravity of Winchester.

In the early hours of Saturday 3rd May 2008 the letters 'NEMEW' appeared in white paint in 35 places all across Winchester.

Let me be clear: i do not approve of graffiti and by creating this group i am certainly not condoning or glorifying it. I hope the graffiti gets cleaned off quickly, but before it does i would like to document how widespread it was.

It looks as if this was done by one person, with a pot of paint and a brush, not with a spraycan. It is about the least imaginative graffiti i have ever seen, but it got noticed because it was so prolific. In some cases it must have been quite dangerous to paint the letters, and as far as i can tell, nobody saw it being done.
