About 365 Days of Photos Walking Around My Neighborhood
A photo a day (more or less) from the block where you live, or a reasonable walking distance from it.
If you've looked around flickr much, you've seen vast numbers of people doing 365 days of self-portraits. I very much enjoy viewing some of the best of these, and have seen people for whom it is very successful, both for photography development and personal growth.
But I'm not about to start one myself. I'm not a good-looking young woman, for starters ;-) Then there's the fact I see people feeling extreme pressures to produce a daily photo and always be original -- which is possible, but hard when you always shoot the same subject, yourself.
So I started a personal 365 that I felt would have similar creative and developmental challenges. I decided to take 365 photos from walks around my block. I have considerable diversity of buildings to work with, plus varied plant life that changes with the seasons. People and animals on the block are certainly fair game as well.
I can't get out daily, so I shoot many at a time and post gradually. Join the group and show us your block/neighborhood.
