27 Oct 11 - This group is for photos of bird eggs, reptile eggs, frog eggs, fish eggs, insect eggs, etc. They can be from pets, zoo animals, eggs that are hatching, eggs in a museum display, eggs that got smashed, empty egg shells, unidentified eggs, eggs on a farm. As long as it's not decorated, fake, or in a kitchen or omelet, it can go here. Scientific or common names of species is appreciated if known, as well as location (though neither are required).

About Nature's Eggs

It seems Flickr has tons of egg groups, but none exclusive to nature's eggs (at least none well moderated). The few that come close are for bird eggs only.

This group is for photos of bird eggs, reptile eggs, frog eggs, fish eggs, insect eggs, etc. They can be from pets, from zoos, eggs that are hatching, eggs in a museum, eggs that got smashed, egg shells, unidentified eggs, eggs on a farm, fossil eggs, etc. As long as it's not decorated, fake, or in a kitchen or omelet, it can go here. A possible exception would be anatomical diagrams or drawings of eggs, for scientific purposes.

Tags, comments, descriptions, or titles that contain the scientific or common names of species is appreciated if known, as well as location (though neither are required). This is designed to be more of a scientific group than an artistic one, though there's no reason it can't be both!

Consider adding this photo to Nature's Eggs! If it's out of the kitchen and not decorated, it belongs in here! All species are welcome!
