Welcome to the Nature's Best Photography Flickr group!

NBP operates one of the world's premier nature photography competitions: The WIndland Smith Rice International Photography Awards. Winning images are seen by millions of people at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History where they are displayed in large format prints as large as 4-feet by 6-feet.

The Smithsonian has embraced Nature's Best Photography because of our shared conviction that photography evokes awe for the natural world and, therefore, motivates people to preserve and protect the environment for ours and future generations.
