About nature H2Eau
Water Project Photos / Photos pour le project sur l'eau
Join the Museum's water photo pool, Nature H2Eau. This employee-only (for now) pool allows you to contribute water-related photographs you've taken so that they may be used in the Water Gallery, the travelling exhibition on water, or other Water Project-related products.
The types of photos we would most like to see:
1. landscapes featuring Canadian lakes, rivers, oceans and wetlands
2. portraits of water creatures - fish, whales, anemones, kelp, algae, etc.
3. images of water "experiences" - seashells, beach activities, canoeing, scuba diving, wetland boardwalks, etc. (with or without people in the scene)
4. more abstract or "artsy" shots of water - puddles, droplets, waves, flowing water, splashes, etc.
Image Use: Only select photos contributed to the pool will be chosen for use in the water project. If one of your photographs is selected, you will be notified.
Release Forms: If you contribute a photograph that includes identifiable people, the people in the photograph will be asked to sign a release form if the image is selected.
Image Resolution: Though you may post photos of any size, images to be used in exhibitions must be of high resolution (1800 pixels in any one dimension or more, depending on type of use). If you prefer to post low-resolution photos, please indicate whether you have higher resolution versions available. If you only have a low-resolution version available, the image could still be used for Web products.
Terms and Conditions: For any photograph submitted to the Canadian Museum of Nature’s Flickr group Nature H2Eau, you, or the owner of copyright in the photograph, retain all copyright. By uploading or submitting any photograph to the Canadian Museum of Nature’s Flickr group Nature H2Eau, you grant (or warrant that the owner of such materials expressly grants) the Canadian Museum of Nature a non-exclusive right and license to use, copy, adapt, publicly display and perform, distribute and create derivative works from any such submitted photograph in any aspect of the Canadian Museum of Nature’s Water Project including, but not limited to, the signature gallery, traveling exhibition, Web site, public programs, promotional material and internal documents. You represent and warrant that you have the right to grant the license set out above. The Canadian Museum of Nature agrees to properly credit the photographer by including a credit line with each use of a photograph.
