About Fashion Dolls in Nature
This group is for photos of fashion dolls in nature settings.
For the purposes of this group, "fashion dolls" is defined as articulated plastic dolls in the 1/6 to 1/3 scale range whose proportions are consistent with adult humans. See the end of this description for specific examples of dolls that do and do not fit this description.
For the purposes of this group "natural setting" means a setting which is (or appears to be) predominantly a naturally-occurring outdoor environment. It is OK if the setting is actually partly man-made, provided that it is made from natural elements such as plants, wood, water, sand and rocks and is intended to look like a small-scale natural setting. For example, it's acceptable to include photos of dolls in your garden, or out front of a log cabin in the woods, but not acceptable to include photos of dolls on a city sidewalk, or on the hood of your car. This group is not a general purpose "outdoors" pool. If "nature" doesn't make the top 5 list of words someone would use to describe your photo, it's probably not a good match for this group.
Examples of dolls that are on-topic for this group: Most Barbie, Ken and their adult friends/siblings especially Silkstone and collector line dolls; Fashion Royalty, Nu.Face, Nu.Fantasy, Poppy Parker, Dynamite Girls, IT Basics, Monsieur Z. and Eve Kitten, Misaki and Amelie, AvantGuards and their mini clones; Tonner Fashion dolls including Gene and Madra in their 12" and 16" versions; Sybarites; Momoko, Jenny, U-noa and U-noa Light, Obitsu, Volks and similar articulated Asian fashion dolls; any ball-jointed dolls in the 1/6-1/3 range (or thereabouts) that have adult proportions.
Examples of dolls that do not really belong in this group and may be removed if occurring too frequently: Bratz & Moxie Girls and Teens; Blythe**, Pullip, Dal and any other dolls whose heads are hugely out of proportion with their bodies; American Girl, Groovy Girls and any other dolls with cloth bodies; Kelly and other child/baby proportioned dolls, Mary Kate and Ashley, Monster High, Lonely Hearts Club; anything robotic, anthropomorphic or skeletal; most other non-collector, non-fashion model dolls. Playline "fashion dolls" like Liv and MyScene should be kept to a minimum.
Doll nudity is allowed in this group as long as it is nudism/naturism in character and not sexual or lewd in any way. Violence is not allowed, including combat weaponry--this group is for nature loving dolls, not jungle combat scenes. A doll carrying a hunting bow is passable where thematically appropriate, but anything suggestive of human-to-human (doll-to-doll) violence is not.
If you are unsure if your doll is acceptable for the pool, please ask!
**Just for the record, I'm a Blythe owner and I'm not anti-Blythe, it's just that Blythe dominates all other groups covering this topic, such as Dolls Out of Doors (http://www.flickr.com/groups/360879@N22/), Blythe in the Grass (http://www.flickr.com/groups/510691@N21/), Blythe Adventures in the Garden (http://www.flickr.com/groups/535022@N20/) and others...
