About Nature Conservancy of Canada
The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) invites you to join our photo group.
Since 1962, we've protected more than two million acres (800,000 hectares) of land across the country to preserve land for Canadians. Show us why land conservation is important to you, whether it's a special place in Canada that takes your breath away, or your favourite animal or plant that depends on habitat conservation for its survival.
A note that preference will be given to native Canadian species, and non-native or invasive species may be declined. We will also aim to approve a maximum of five photos per individual per day, to make sure the group pool is balanced.
Once you upload your image to your account please click on it, and then click the "send to group" icon found right above your image.
When submitting your photos, please always:
- tag your image to indicate the location and/or species in it;
There is a short queueing process before photos are approved. Come back and check often to make sure your photo is posted.
Images may be considered for inclusion in our publications - our newsletter, The Ark, our website and e-bulletin, so please ensure that you have selected the appropriate copyright settings.
Never uploaded photos to a group before? No sure what to do? See below for some helpful hints:
Go back to your photos (from the "You" drop down menu). Pick "photos" and re-open the photo you would like to upload. Just above the photo at the top left corner, choose the "Send to group" option and pick the "Nature conservancy of Canada - Put yourself in the Picture" group. Click Ok.
If you don't mind if we use your photo, please look down to below the photo on the right side of the page where it says "Additional Information" and edit your photo setting to "Attribution Creative Commons".
Thanks!
