Nature Rocks partners include the Children & Nature Network, The Nature Conservancy, REI, ecoAmerica, the Flora Family Foundation and the American Camp Association.

Month of November – Participate in the Nature Rocks Photo Share

Share your photos with the rest of the Nature Rocks community and show the rest of us how much fun you and your family have when you get outside! Take your camera on your family's next outing into nature and in addition to the other photos you take, take photos of your family nature club or Flock in a way that captures that week's Photo Share theme and post them to the Nature Rocks Flickr group.

We may share your images with the rest of the Nature Rocks online community or feature in our materials.

Week 1, November 1st – 7th - Color

On a weekend nature walk with your Flock or family nature club and notice a pile of colorful leaves? Jump in and capture the moment on camera.

Please tag your pictures with “Color-NR-NOV09”.

Week 2, November 8th – 14th - Family

Whatever size, shape or color, we want to see pictures of your family out exploring in nature. Maybe snap a pic next to a particularly awesome tree, or on top of a mountain!

Please tag your pictures with “Family-NR-NOV09”.

Week 3, November 15th – 21st - Fun

Enjoying time in nature allows your family to share, explore, build memories – and have fun! Take pics of your Flock or family nature club playing a nature scavenger hunt or making crafts.

Please tag your pictures with “Fun-NR-NOV09”.

Week 4, November 22nd – 28th - Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving means something different to everyone. Show us what it means to you, whether it be a winter walk or just sitting out on the porch with extended family.
