About Nature Notes

Welcome to Nature Notes, the Flickr group!

Nature Notes. Get yours at bighugelabs.com/flickr

About the Group
The idea behind this group is to encourage close observation and exploration of the natural world through photography. By sharing our images and notes in this group, we can build a collection of nature photographs, natural history illustrations, and field notes - a kind of collaborative, illustrated nature journal. It's also a place to share your natural history questions and discuss conservation topics.

Websites
This group is also an extension of the following websites:

Group Guidelines
There is no limit to the number of images you can add but please limit your photos to images of plants, animals, and landscapes (no people-pictures, please).

Optional Photo Descriptions
If you would like to add a few notes about your photos please do so (this is optional, you can add photos without descriptions if you wish). These notes can be in any form such as general descriptions or links to websites that provide information about the subject matter of your image (check out 'Online Field Guides' for some sites you might explore).

If you can identify the species or habitat in your image, feel free to use any of the following (optional) templates for creating a description to accompany your photograph:

Species Description Template (Animals)
Species Description Description Template (Plants)
Habitat Description Template

Or, if you can't identify a plant or animal, just say so - maybe someone else in the group can identify the animal or plant in your photo.

Enjoy!
