This group is an opportunity for you to share your personal images of the museum – photos of your favourite objects and displays, the architecture of the museum, your friends and families enjoying their visit are all welcome. We’d love to see the museum through your eyes. Photography is allowed in the museum so long as the images taken are for personal, non-commerical use. Please check out our photography guidelines before posting your images to the group. Thank you.
If you have images from any of our other museum sites, please post these to the relevant groups:
The National Museum of Scotland is part of National Museums Scotland, the country's national museum service. Our collections tell you the story of Scotland, its land, people and culture. Our exciting Royal Museum Project is now underway with around half of the museum complex currently closed, including the Victorian main hall, reopening in 2011. In the meantime, there is still plenty to see, do and photograph. We cover life, the universe and everything in it. Some exhibits are millions of years old, others less than a decade.

Want to visit our collections in person? Come and see us in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town, Chambers Street EH1 1JF. Admission is free and regular opening hours are 10:00 - 17:00. See you there!
