About Nat Spirit Festival Campaign Workshop with 'Frankie Tun Tin'
'Through Myanmar Eye's' a workshop with Frankie Tun Tin.
This group event is dedicated to a workshop series exploring Nat Festival's in Burma / Myanmar with Frankie Tun Tin in Myanmar / Burma and 37n Nat Festival Campaign - working to bring you great images from the Festivals.
Frankie who has shot B&W images on 35mm Film for 40 Years he started of toying with his dad's Rolleiflex and won hundreds of Competition's.
We Welcome you to the join us in a unique workshop experience "Through Myanmar Eye's".Here's a chance to learn from a extremely accomplished Burmese photographer working in a live campaign shoot environment with the emphasis on capturing the essence of the Mt Popa Nat Festival in December 2009.
The Workshop has 6 places only (the costs you will be advised of ) and includes Digital and B&W Film and Traditional B&W Printing which Frankie is an expert at...
The location will be on an inactive Volcano during a 5 days Nat Spirit Festival > this is a live Campaign shoot with the best images to be selected and used on the up and coming Campaign Website a downloadable as a resource for Press and Media usage.
The Idea is to communicate the Festival and the atmosphere using still images weather it be portraits documentary type shots or fragments or elements of the festival which is a large scale Spirit Medium gathering effectively 'Occult'....
Mediums often Transgender or Gay will preform accompanied by Burmese Orchestras preform to crowds in Nat Sin's and Nat Theaters. A whole cross section of Burma / Myanmar attend these Festivals so it's a mecca for shooting interesting images in very demanding light conditions and dynamic environment. If you want to take the learning curve this workshop is exactly what you need of course it's fun too as we enter into the Spiritual Realm of Photography.
We are completely dedicated to promoting the Nat Spirit Festivals through Photographic Images leading up the 2010 Tung Byone Festival in Mandalay which we hope will draw a large influx of Western money vis positive impact Tourism.Show your support for it by attending and participating.

NB: 1)Course Fee's and Expenses Apply but we are more competitive than other workshops offering much less in S.E Asia Equivalents .... in another words we give you so much more and it's a very worthy cause to that we are supporting here.
2)Your need your own DSLR and a 35 mm Film Camera (not medium Format ) and a fast 50 mm AF Lens like a f1.8,f1.4 will be adequate (optional) flash unit compatible with your Camera's (35 mm Film T Max Pro and Chemicals Paper are provided for the Hand Printing Exercise).
3) This workshop is designed for all levels - having mixed level of ability in this kind of workshop environment is advantageous and we think you will learn more this way.
4) You don't have to have a 35 mm Developing or Printing background but if you do it will make your experience more valuable. We think you will benefit from Frankie's incredible skill in B&W Printing..
