PAINTED - The International Art Competition Group,


Where Paintings not photos are our primary concern.
Where artist can compete for recognition from their peers.
Where you can be contestant, and judge.


Winners of our contests will be presented on our front page and receive this award.



But the real prize is more exposure, more attention to your works, and all that that entails.

Winners also are entered into our periodic "Best of" contest and have a chance to win the group icon of the month.

The current icon winner is delacruz.mina Wins first place and icon of the month with "Portrait of Jenny"

To all members:

Almost all groups on flickr allow people to submit images. But, what makes painted special, a notch above most other groups, is the contests we have. The contests were designed to allow us to showcase what we think are our better paintings. It allows us to have fun watching our works being appreciated by others in their voting. It allows one persons painting for that contest to be elevated among their peers. It gives us bragging rights...and its just plain fun!

I urge all members to watch the contests closely, vote in all of them regardless of weather or not you have submitted a painting and make this group excel in excellence...and make this group a fun group where we can all interact with one another.

Don't hesitate to submit your a painting or two each contest. If you don't enter you can't win.

Lets try to keep the contents fresh, Invite your favorite artists to join in the fun.

The group and it's contests are intended for peers. To vote you should be another artist willing to display your work here. We don't want the competitions to become a popularity contest. Please discourage your friends from voting for your paintings just because they like you and your work. We want honest impartial judging. Remember the favor they may be doing you is a disservice to others.

Please, no computer generated images, no photography...just painted work...and try to tone down the nudity, and please no sexually suggestive works, we want this to be a fun place for all ages.

Note: In case of a tie vote; I reserve the right to vote last and try to resolve the tie but if I con not resolve it or in the case of a contest with many entries I may declare an extra winner, or if the contest is small we'll have a runoff! So submit your best...enter often...have fun...and may the best painting win...
