About My Tokyo à la Carte

All of the photos in this group are here because they show locations listed in the My Tokyo à la Carte by A la Carte Maps, a young Swiss start-up whose unique travel guides are guidebook, city map, and piece of art all in one.

The idea is to have local friends in exciting cities all over the world -- people who give you inside tips like where the locals eat, what to do on a rainy day, or how to find unique spots you won't see listed other places. Each local guide writes their own personal tips on a beautiful hand-drawn map, designed by a young artist trying to capture the spirit of the city. The maps are durable, water-resistant, and the perfect size for both reading and carrying with you.
