Group Description

MyMoon http://mymoon.lpi.usra.edu is created by you (the Net Generation) and the Lunar and Planetary Institute (LPI). We're collaborating with lunar scientists, educators, engineers, artists, storytellers, and more to provide interactive information about the Moon and opportunities for you to be involved.

Thru the lunr group on flickr, we invite you to share your thoughts, your creations, and your experiences. Submit your art and photos for a variety of competitions, and vote on your favorites.

Yes, this Moon is your moon, this Moon is my Moon, this Moon is Earth's Moon... but not THAT moon! If you see something that's disgusting, totally rude, or just wrong, please contact us at mymoon@lpi.usra.edu.

We’re grateful (thrilled, in fact) to report that this project is funded by NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (the part of NASA that deals with stuff like robots on Mars and the Hubble Space Telescope, not the folks that work with rockets or send astronauts to the space station.)

Group Rules

Greetings, luna-philes, luna-phobes, and those just plain loony! All are welcome to join!

Standard rules of conduct: no swearing, nudity, or other degenerate behavior. Please let us know if you see anything that's just plain wrong by emailing mymoon@lpi.usra.edu.

Any images posted to the pool should represent your own work, but may use NASA's stuff too if you'd like. They should relate in some way to Earth's Moon: our exploration, scientific studies, cultural and historical views, etc.

Thanks!
