About My Glasgow
The Curious team invite you to join in a mass participation project which could see your photography exhibited in St Mungo Museum in Glasgow. Anyone can participate, you just have to be able to take a photograph in Glasgow between the 1st and 30th of June.
The best photographs will be picked by a panel of judges for a temporary exhibition in St Mungo Museum, taking place throughout the month of August.
Photographers are allowed to submit one photograph that captures “My Glasgow.” Glasgow is a vibrant city in a constant state of change and means different things to different people. Is there somewhere in the city that you feel a special connection to? Please submit a photograph that captures Glasgow for you, it must be taken in the city in June. We welcome a wide variety of visual interpretations of this topic.
Please note that the photograph must be taken by you and must not include any copyrighted material. The image must be an unmodified photograph; it should not be altered in photo editing software. Only one photograph will be considered per entrant, if more than one is submitted only the first photograph will be considered.
Please note that images must be in jpg format and no larger than 25MB. In addition, images must meet one of the following size requirements: a) at least 3000 pixels wide, minimum 72dpi; b) at least 2200 pixels wide, minimum 150dpi; or c) 2000 pixels wide, minimum 180dpi. Please make sure your image has a file extension of .jpg prior to uploading. Images which are too small cannot be accepted for the competition.
Please provide a 50 word statement to explain the photograph. We also encourage you to tag your photograph with a postcode on the Flickr map and tag with the words Glasgow and June.
