About Municipal Museums UK

This group aims to showcase museums run by the UK's local government, as opposed to privately owned establishments or those run by The National Trust, English Heritage and so on.

The Municipal Museums have a character all of their own, usually with very local flavour, and not necessarily as classy as their better known counterparts but interesting to visit nevertheless. Also they may allow members of the public to photograph inside, so images of indoor design or artifacts are also welcome.
