About The Bridges of Multnomah County
The Bridges of Multnomah County is the third installment of self-published photo books by Portland (and neighboring area) Flickrites.
The mission: post three pictures of / from any bridge in the Portland Metro Area.
1. You have until May 15th to post your best three images to the group. After that day, the pool will be closed for posting.
2. Old photos are allowed, but new pictures are strongly encouraged.
3. Photos will be relegated to the Portland Metro area. We don't have to be that specific... you know what we mean.
4. Any type of bridge is allowed (i.e. river bridge, land bridge, overpass, garden bridge, etc.) Also photos of views from bridges are allowed as long as you identify the bridge in your caption.
5. Post-processing is allowed as well as B&W conversions, etc.
6. 1800 minimum pixel width resolution is recommended so that images in the book compilation are sharp.
Please include the following information with your post:
Title: If no title, enter "Untitled".
Description: Short description including the name of the bridge if not already in the title. Also include camera make, model and lens type, aperture, shutter speed and ISO. If you don't know any of the above, just enter for instance, aperture: Not Available. Please keep your description text in one paragraph without line breaks as we have limited space when all the images are compiled into book format.
For anyone who is interested, a book of all the images in the group with associated text can be ordered/purchased on the web so that you can show your friends. We used Lulu.com to do the publishing for the last event, Fall in PDX, and it turned out quite well.
The most important guideline is to have fun and enjoy being part of a large collection of photographs displaying Portland's beautiful bridges!
