About Movie Palaces
This is a photo group for Movie Palaces, not any theater. Please make sure you understand what a movie palace is.
Wikipedia : "Movie palace is a synonym for movie theater, but nowadays usually used for the grand cinemas of the 1910s to 1940s, contrasting with modern multiplexes. There are three building types in particular which can be subsumed under the label movie palace. First, the ‘standard’ Movie Palace , with its eclectic and luxurious period-revival architecture; second, the Atmospheric Theater with its fantasy environments fashioned after ‘exotic’ cultures, and finally, the Art Deco theaters that became popular in the 1930s."
These palaces are big, huge, decorated to the extreme, to invoke a place far away.
If your photo does not fit in with being a movie palace it will be removed.
Interiors are preferred, keep exteriors to a minimum please.
